Yesterday was "Spoil Sugarwings Day". Since I had to run to Kansas City to find the edible glitter (which is great!! I baked cookies last night and they are shimmering little masterpieces), I decided to stop at Rainforest Cafe to treat the fairy grand baby to a lunch with the monkeys and elephants. She loved it all, her favorite thing there was a light shining on the wall that made rainbow. She held her Dorothy doll up to it, and said "look, Dororthy, a Rainblow!" and of course, started singing to her.
On the way out of the mall, we saw this contraption and it grabbed her attention.
Yes, I let a two year old bounce 15 feet into the air strapped onto this lift. She LOVED it and squealed "YaaaY" at the top of her lungs the whole time.
Dozens of people stopped to see what the yelling was about, some stayed to watch a while. She’s not a quiet kid, she lets loose with some lung power when she is having fun.
Sorry, the photos aren’t very clear, but this fairy was flying up and down pretty fast. I wish I could have captured the joy on her face when she took the first big leap.
You can learn a lot from a two year old. Let go of your fears and make that big leap, jump into all life has to offer and have some fun trying new things!
And keep your eyes open, you never know when you’ll see a rainblow.
Now that is one brave little girl. Looks like she loved it. Flying in the air just like a real little fairy! How cute!
This post made me smile.
Hugs,
Joanne
What a brave little one! It is amazing how true that is “You can learn a lot from a two year old.”
Thanks for sharing, looks like she had a great time. I am so jealous, I wonder if they sell edible glitter here? Hmmm
Your love for Sugarwings is quite evident. She is a darling and you’re blessed to have her in your life.
Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your weekend.
Blessings,
Sandi
How fun Karla. I looked at the Dean and Deluca website today and didn’t find the glitter. I’m so glad you found some. I’m still searching!!
You have the best way of expressing your sugarwings thoughts and happiness. I think she is alot like her grand fairy. Thanks for sharing what looks like a grand time. Please show some pics of this eatible glitter? Terri

There’s nothing better than viewing the world through the eyes of a child! I just LOVE the picture of her in the air with the huge grin!
I see pop-pop left a comment! Thats what my kids call my father-in-law!
Isn’t it every fairy’s dream to fly??? That’s what fairies do :c)
Oh can you imagine the excitement the gals in our neighborhood pastelaria shop would have if they knew there was such a thing as edible glitter?? :c) I think I’m just going to have to find a way for someone coming down here to bring some!!!! How much fun would that be for the week of Carnival? :c) They would be the envy of the city! ;c)
Thanks Karla for sharing

YaaaY, YaaaY, wonderful for Sugarwings and that paneling is yummy. Happy happies.
She is quite a little girl! Do you realize how many two years olds would be screaming, and not in a good way.

She’s a fearless little thing! I’m not surprised people stopped to watch her, she’s so darn cute. I think you need that Canon Rebel for Christmas. 😉
Don’t you wish you could fly right along side her? Their innocence is so precious.
Hugs,
Kerryanne
what a cutie patootie!! She reminds me of our 20 month old grand daughter–fearless
what a great grammie u are to let her have so much fun!! We know what they like and don’t like. How nice to be able to be close enough to spoil her on a whim like that.

There’s nothing like flying in the air – especially when you know you can’t fail! What a great lesson from a two-year-old!
I hope we see some pics of the glittery cookies!
Lorrie
Thanks for the great recent posts:) Love the pictures:)
How fun! Cute lesson from it, too!

Oh my, wish I could fairy fly with Sugarwings but my old fairy wings would probably break. She will cherish all the magic you have given her – everything from elephant rides to fairy flying! I see many more magical moments and rainblows in her tomormows. 🙂
Huh! I guess I need to head out to that mall pretty soon – I’ve never seen that contraption. Looks like she had a heck of a lot of fun!
I just love her pure look of joy.
Hugs,
Rosemary
Too too cute! I want to try next! You are going to have so much fun with Natasha and Heather! Natasha just left and it was so fabulous to be able to spend a little time with her – I’m jealous you get to have her longer!
Karla
Oh Sugar Wings could teach us all a lesson or two! I’m going to look for rainbows and take leaps today 🙂
Hugs,
Dena
Man, my grandma never took me bungie jumping. You know the next thing she’s going to want to do is jump from a bridge…
OMG! You are such a great gram! That is so funny! If my Mom had done that with my first child I would have freaked.. but now with number 3, I get it 😉 I am glad she had a good time…. 🙂
Awww, gotta love her exuberance!
I love witnessing your love for her…thanks for sharing it w/ us.
I would have done it in a minute! When my boys were little, I would put them in a Johnny Jumper in the doorway, put on some music and they would bounce away while I cooked dinner or whatever! They screamed with delight! That contraption would have ROCKED THEIR WORLD!!!!
You have the best time together — I’m not sure which one has the most fun!
What a precious child! I hope she realizes just how special you are to give her all these amazing joyous days. Oh to be two again and not know about the laws of gravity…
Excellent advise, indeed! Just look at the fun she’s having–I’m guessing she’s still talking about it, too!
It is amazing how you say just what I need to hear when I need to hear it. Your sweetheart took me back to those “wow” times!
fabulous! who cares if the pictures are good- atleast you have them. That smile is priceless.
