Vintage Fairy Tales

Books, vintage paper/collage art, Workshops

Starting the forest 010
Right now, my world is filled with up with fairy tales! Yep, I'm getting kits made for the April shindig that Kim is throwing. (she has had a cancellation and has TWO spots open if you'd like to join us there!!)

My project is a journal, called the Book of Enchantments.   I decided to do a journalling page for it.  Here is a snippet. It's  a drawing, with the words and doodles, over a page from a 1940s Snow White book.  I'm copying it before adding the markers and inks, so the guests can either glue it into their books and tint it as they wish, or they can use it for ideas to create their own doodles.

I've colored in about 6 or 7 so far, its kind of addicting. I sent one to Beth too, and she said that coloring books for adults would be fun to have. I agree, its soothing to do.

Starting the forest 045

For the last few months, I've been collecting old, old, fairy tale books to use for this class. I've been lucky to find lots of Snow White and Rose Red in them, so that each student will get originals from those stories.  I'm also including other fairy tale and princess pages in the kits.  Everyone will get an assortment along with the old wallpaper, lace, ribbon, and trims.

Starting the forest 046

So far, I've torn out and stacked up hundreds of pages.  As I go through the books, I'm setting aside the Cinderella pages, since there are so many. I'd like to do some thing special with those later on. (a class, a swap book with kits, not sure what, but something lovely and princessy)

I've also saved all of the Jorenda and Joringle stories.  My sister named her youngest daughter JoRenda, after this tale.  I thought I'd save those pages for a family craft project next time I get together with my sisses.

Okay, back to work.  Or maybe to do some more coloring….

What’s for lunch? Light Chicken Pot Pie and Rosemary Potato Garlic bread recipes

Food and Drink, Workshops

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 034
Usually, I'm not a lunch person.  A protein bar or yogurt at my desk is perfect. But I do love socialized lunches and going out with friends. Or fixing something special for company.  For the Valentine Journal Workshop, we had organic springtime greens with herbs, a fruit salad, rosemary garlic bread, and some chicken thing with puff pastry.

I don't know what to call it, only that anything you add puff pastry to becomes a special meal.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 029

It was easy to make.  Here is how I did it:

I boiled 5 large, bone in, skinless chicken breasts in 2 qts of water seasoned with sea salt, pepper and garlic.

While deboning the cooked chicken, I added two cups of rice to the pot, along with 3 finely chopped carrots and cooked that in the broth according to directions on the rice package.

In  a skillet, I sauteed half a red onion, two stalks of celery, and a red pepper, all chopped up together, with a splash of olive oil and seasoned with sea salt.

The veggie mix and chicken went back into the pot with the finished rice and broth along with a raw,  chopped broccoli crown, and I removed the pot from the heat so the brocoli didn't over cook, the hot broth just blanched it.

To that, I added  a pinch of poultry seasoning, and  a few shakes of Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute.

8 ramekins were filled about 2/3 with the mixture, using a slotted spoon.  Over that, I ladled broth from the pot, just enough to cover the chicken, rice and veggies so it wouldn't dry out when baked.

With a cookie cutter, I cut hearts out of thawed puff pastry and added it to the top of each. The scraps from cutting hearts out of pastry got rolled together and bagged for the freezer to use later.

These bake at 375 just till the pastry browns.

But that's not all. This made enough to also fill an 8" round casserole pan, and I used the 2nd puff pastry sheet from the box to cover the whole dish, so I had a meal to feed my family later as well as individual dishes to feed my friends.  It can also be made up ahead of time, without baking, and kept in the fridge for a couple of days.  If you do that, you'll need to bake it longer.  Just enough to get hot through and through before the crust browns, so I set the oven a bit lower, 350, so the crust doesn't burn while waiting for it to get hot.

Its a lighter version of a pot pie, without the gravy and the bottom crust.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 024

All of my table cloths are from garage sales, and some are in better shape than others.  By layering them all on top of each other, no one noticed the stains or holes.  At least that was the plan. Plus, I like the sheer, lacy cloth over the rose patterned one, it makes it a lot more lush.

Our bread was home made too.  I make up my own recipes as I go, but I've fixed this so many times, I can kind of wing it to tell you how much of what went into it.

Rosemary Potato Garlic Bread:

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons organic sugar

2 teaspoons Guar Gum (helps the bread rise, keeps it light and airy, plus lowers cholesterol)

1-1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1-1/2 cup warm water

Add all of the above to the oiled pan in a bread maker

**************************************

1/2 cup instant potato flakes

1/4 cup golden flax seed

3 tablespoons dried rosemary

i tablespoon of fresh, minced garlic

3-1/2 cups organic, unbleached bread flour

Add to the top of the previous ingredients, do not stir.

**************************************

Make a well in the top of the flour pile with your finger and drop in 2-1/2 teaspoons of bread machine flour

Switch the machine to dough setting.  I don't leave mine in for the whole cycle, once it begins to rise, I transfer my dough to a greased bread pan and punch it down a few times.  Then I boil a cup of water in my microwave oven, and place the pan of dough in the microwave, to use it as a hot box to let the dough rise in.  My microwave is over the stove and has a light under it. I've found that with the light on, it stays warm.  If yours doesn't, try warming your stove with a pan of hot water in it, and then turning it off and setting the dough in the oven to rise.

It just seems to me that the bread is so much better when baked in a pan, not in the bread machine.

I oil the top and  bake it on 350 for about a half hour, or till its brown and crusty.

535514_10151375839439477_677202247_n

I was able to make the dough before everyone arrived, and bake it while we worked. The mini casserole, fake pot pies were also made ahead, so it was an easy lunch to fix during a workshop. I had time to create a couple of pages of my own while we were in the studio.

483135_10151375923374477_415997643_n

The fruit salad was every bit as simple, three pears, one mango, one pineapple, a bag of frozen blueberries and a quart of strawberries. All cut up and spritzed with lime juice, with about a teaspoon of sugar on top.

I was glad to have fruit salad to serve, because I forgot to turn on the oven for the chicken and everyone was hungry.

I brought out fresh bread and fruit salad to the studio, to hold everyone till the main meal cooked.  Oh well, these kind of things happen.  Quite often.  No one starved to death and I don't think anyone really minded waiting too much.

I figure that as long as we are having a good time, and everyone has plenty to eat, eventually, no one expects perfection.

Which is a good thing, because around here, they aren't going to find it!  I'd rather be relaxed and enjoying myself than worry about all the mistakes I could be making.  Life is too short to stress out over the little things.

I had such a nice time at the Valentine Journal workshop. There is something wonderful about a Valentine theme, that always makes me happy. Roses? Hearts? PINKS? All of it!

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 018

We had a small group, so only needed to use half of the studio. I used this half to set out extra supplies.  So, not only did we have kits stuffed with Vintagey goodies, I had enough extras to make dozens more books.  One table was just used to display previously made books as examples. I showed my travel journal, my samples for An Enchanted Affair, the Valentine book, as well as a couple of books from swaps I'd been in.

By the way, Kim was able to squeeze in one more table at her arty event this spring, and has sold all but one space at it! If you are interested, better jump in fast! Hope to see you there.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 019

Another table held lots of extra pretty papers, while a third was all tidbits, ribbons, lace, and embellishments.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 023

I should do fresh flowers in my studio more often, its a nice treat.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 021

Our local grocery store usually marks a dozen roses down to $1.99 every Monday, but for some reason, they were on sale this Friday too. So, I was able to set out flowers all around the house.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 022

When prepping for the class, I spent about 14 hours making kits, and thought I might just end up running away from home to get away from them.  What was I thinking, waiting till the last day to make them???? That isn't like me.  I sure learned a lesson, and will be getting a jump start on spring time class kits so this won't happen again.

Kits can be fun to make, and I enjoy playing with my piles of papers and deciding what to include, but not at the last minute.  I had to write instructions, edit photos, sort papers, plus dozens of other things that make the kits successful and well thought out. It shouldn't be done the day before the workshop!!

I made up what I thought were lots of extras, but not quite enough. They sold out in one day, thank you to all who bought them!  It is never any more trouble to make an extra 10 or so while putting together enough for a class, so I always make some to sell. Plus one for myself, so that I can pull things out during class to demonstrate and know that the kits are functional and have what they need in them.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 038

The best part of making a kit, is seeing how it is used.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 037

Of course, since they are vintage, no two are exactly alike, but still I love the way everyone changes things around so much and puts their own stamp of uniqueness on their work.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 041

And its very pretty to see how far some go to change it up.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 045

We do mini workshops for holidays throughout the year, just for my friends and their kids to come over and play, and of course, I have Birdsong too. (Which I have not done a single thing for yet this year! I need to gather my thoughts and get the website done for sign ups!!)

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 043

We did a Halloween gathering and then this little Valentine party, and I really enjoyed both. I would like to do more small, one afternoon workshops if possible. Its so much more intimate than a big to do. Of course, even Birdsong is not big at all, compared to most arty weekends, its 25 people and all cozy in my studio

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 042

Still, it would be nice to do a smaller class like this and have them quarterly or so.  Just a thought.  10 people or less, hanging out, chatting  all together instead of broken off in groups around the room.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 044

Either way, no matter how many come, I love having company in my studio.  Its not that I don't enjoy a good day alone with my creations, but since I have soooo many of those days, working all alone, its nice to have some company.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 047

I can't imagine any other job than the one I do (although the thought of one that pays better, is pretty tempting), but it does get lonely. Which is why having a blog and all of my blog friends is so nice.

Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 050

Of course, these guys too! They are great company when they aren't stealing things from me to shred.  Dorothy can't jump or climb because of the injury she had when she was tiny, but Albie is good at getting on the table and grabbing something fun for them to rip up.

Auntie Beth brought them some Valentine tees, and even girlie-ed up Dorothy's with some lace.
Valentine journal workshop cougar hunt 053

She also brought this. Beautiful, isn't it?

Patterns0003

One of my guests brought this lovely, old image, and I was asked to copy it to share. I thought maybe you would like to have it too.  Just click on the image to open it to a larger window, then save it to your computer to print.

Patterns0001 (3)

And this one was in one of the kits and I was asked to copy it also.

Dorothy Rosebud and I just might need to order more cupid wings for foofing.  She likes to play dress up as much as Sugarwings does, apparently.

Giveawyamy 017

Plus, I like making them.

Craft day with caroldebamy 058

I've also been hooked on making wire cages. As I work on them, I'm taking photos so I can do an online tutorial too.

Craft day with caroldebamy 059

But so far, the cage details aren't worth passing on.  I need to make a few more to get it perfected.  Each one I make teaches me a bit more on the best ways to build them from the ground up

Craft day with caroldebamy 061

Which is important in a tutorial.  The first few I make of something, I just wing it.  Then, if I like the idea and make more prototypes, I start narrowing down just what works, what doesn't, how long is this piece, how big is that one.

Weeks of work go into making a tutorial, but they can sell for years, so they are worth the effort for me to get it right.

Craft day with caroldebamy 050

And if you enjoy my online classes, maybe you'd like an in person one?  Valentine Journal Workshop on Saturday, Feb 2nd, all supplies included, just bring tools!  $100, Details in the previous post.

Giveawyamy 001

I'll be giving away one of Amy's books then.  Or you can win one by leaving a comment  on my blog on any post.

I'll be away from my computer for a while, I'm in PARADISE as you read this.  Any Etsy or Boutique orders will be mailed on the 30th.

Valentine Workshop

Books, holiday decor, vintage paper/collage art, Workshops

Odds 015
It's been fun to make a Valentine journal for the upcoming workshop.  The books are stuffed with vintagey goodness, and lots of fun, romantic details.

Odds 018

Since it's a journal, I decided to add some "journaling" which I have never done before.  Of course, leave it to me to decide to teach a class about something I've never tried.  But I think I worked out the basics on what to do in which order for a balanced effect. How to fix mistakes (they happen, for sure!) and some other tidbits of advice.

Odds 019

Seems to me that journaling isn't any different than other art forms that I do.  It needs to be pretty and looked at as much as an arty creation as it is a written paragraph or phrase.

I'm printing out some prompts for students to use, and will have some basic guidelines to help get them going too.

Odds 036

I've been gathering up piles of pretties for supplies.

I've got lots of old Valentines,

Odds 021

Victorian postcards,

Odds 037

Charms,

Odds 035

and German die cuts of roses, plus tons of ephemera  to use as the pages themselves.

We will build a book from scratch from old papers in neutral tones, then fill it up with lots of rosy toned hearts and flowers.

The cover will be decorated similar to an old fashioned box of chocolates, with a flocked heart, ruffles, and a millinery rose.

Odds 017

We'll add love notes, and envelopes to save romantic souvenirs from our sweeties.  In my own book, I'm making places for photos too.  All students can email pictures to me, and I will size, edit and print them for the books and have the pictures ready when everyone arrives.

The class will be all day, at my studio in Lawrence on Saturday, Feb.2nd.

Lunch and luscious chocolate treats are, of course, included!

Cost is $100 and covers everything you will need from cover to cover.

And we will be using The Good Stuff to make this book!

Its a small, intimate class, and we should be able to get the book completed that day.  But remember, with a project like this, they sometimes never end!  You will want to continue adding adornments and doodlies after you leave, too.

I'm away from my computer on a dream trip to Hawaii right now, but please check back for fresh posts left for you before I flew off.  If you want to order from the Boutique, all orders will be shipped on the 30th. If you'd like to enter the drawing for one of Amy's books, please leave a comment on any post.

Craft day with Carol Spinski, Debbie Dusenberry, and Amy Barickman, woo hoo!

flowers, vintage paper/collage art, We're having a party, Workshops

Craft day with caroldebamy 043
Last Tuesday, Amy, Carol, and Debbie came over for a craft day and lunch.  It was a fun day of catching up, creating, and chatting.

Swwe

Amy's friend, Cindy, came by for a while, it was nice to meet a local Lawrence lady who was a big shot blogger (Skip to my Lou). I  had no idea. Wow, 2,000,000 hits a month?? Not only was she a big time blogger, she was sweet as can be, which is appropriate since she has a store called Sweet.

Craft day with caroldebamy 045

In the kitchen, my dining table was set with a drop cloth cover, white mismatched linens, cream plates, and white salad plates with tiny rosebuds. I added matt white pottery vases with bright roses (on Mondays, my local Kroger marks leftover flowers down to $1.99 so I snaf up armloads, then feel greedy and put back all but two to take up.  Happens every time.  I see the sale price and start grabbing, then stop myself).

The look of the room inspired me to get out some Valentiney themed and colored papers to add to the all neutral books we were making.  I loved the look so much, in the room and in the book I made that I thought it would be fun to have a workshop to create Valentine journals. The details are in the previous post and I'll have some photos coming up in a couple days with  more info.

Craft day with caroldebamy 050

Knowing that
Carol and Debbie were both fans of "low color" style,I'd set out a
studio table full of neutral ephemera so that we could sift through and
pull together pages that we wanted to use in our books.

I'll be providing similar for the books we will make in class. As a matter of fact, I probably won't be putting these away, I'll leave the piles out for us to work with.

Craft day with caroldebamy 051

At a flea mkt last fall, I scored an 1800s receipt book stuffed with fantastic writing and logos.  We all used pages of it in our books that day.

Craft day with caroldebamy 048

Of course, an afternoon with these three ladies is pretty durn inspiring in and you know that they can put together something scrumptious no matter what supplies they have on hand!

Craft day with caroldebamy 046

I had some ticking stuck away and pulled it out knowing that Debbie would use it in an interesting way, and she did, fraying the edges of strips to make ribbon, and lining some pages. She generously left the book here to use for ideas during the workshop.

Craft day with caroldebamy 056

Amy's book is a sweet pink tone.

Giveawyamy 001

And she generously left some of her books behind too. These are copies of two of her latest books and she gave them to me to offer as giveaways.

Vintage Notions and Fabric Flowers.

Giveawyamy 004

While I am away in Hawaii, I'll have some fresh posts done up ahead of time for you, so please come back.  Leave a comment on any post between January 14 and 28th for a chance to win one of two books.

The third will be given away during my workshop on Saturday, Feb. 2nd to an attendee.

Cupid’s wings and a journal workshop

Valentine's Day, vintage paper/collage art, Workshops

Giveawyamy 019
This has been a week of puttering. I made some caged fairies and love birds, and some more angel wings.  Had a couple of fun craft days with friends, played with felt, and read too much.  Nothing real productive, but relaxing and wonderful.

What more can you ask from a week?

Giveawyamy 015

Maybe should I call these Cupid's Wings, not angel wings?  They are smaller than the crepe paper ones and the feather ones I made at Christmas.

Giveawyamy 011

While I think both sizes are nice for Valentine's Day, I kind of like the idea of the smaller, cupid-ey scaled ones.

Giveawyamy 014

I've also been working on a journal for the upcoming holiday and have enjoyed doing it so much, I was wondering if anyone wanted to come to a workshop to make one at my house? I'll have some photos soon.

Its all very very very vintagey papers in neutral colors, with pops of red and pink in roses from old Valentines, postcards, millinery and wallpaper.

I'll have lots of papers out to play with, and we will keep it a small group.   It will be an all day class with lunch and treats.  That will give us plenty of time to create the pages, bind the book, adorn the cover and do some embellishing and journaling.

There is even a cheat sheet made up with journaling short cuts to help get your doodling in gear. Email me if you are interested, please. This will be an intimate group, not a large class and I'm not making a seperate site for sign ups.

It will be Saturday Feb. 2nd and will cost $100.    Just bring your tools, all supplies included.

Christmas trees, cocoa, gingerbread houses, yay!

holiday decor, Sugarwings, Workshops

Bototle brushtrees 113
We are making the most of our holiday season, and have our bedtime hot cocoa in front of the tree when Sugarwings is having a sleepover with us.  We make it into a real party, setting out the pretty cups, and fancy napkins. After that, we read a few stories from our collection of Christmas books while enjoying the lights.

Bototle brushtrees 108

Our gingerbread house is progressing too.  Every time Sugarwings comes over, we work on it a little bit more.

Bototle brushtrees 105

This year, I actually was able to assemble the house in a decent way, it didn't fall over, I didn't need to use hot glue, it really held up and is even straight.

It gets a LOT of layers over the next few weeks. But Christmas day, it will be a huge, amorphous blob of colorful icings and candies. Then, it gets carried down to the Fairy Berry Trail for the fairies to move into.

Because they need to get a present too, right?

Photoss

We worked on our gingerbread house while we waited for our guests to arrive.  My Utah friend, Molly, was coming to stay with us before she and I attended the Shine workshop, so I decided to have a little dinner party.  Beth and her husband, Jeff, joined us, and Sugarwings was using her best manners at a grown up dinner party.

Shine 004

Molly used to be a ballerina and you can tell its still close to her heart. I found a couple of these vintage brooches and made added them to some gifts for her.

Shine 025

Yes, this is a brooch on a brooch.  I've been making pins from my bottle brush trees, and added a ballerina to this one for Molly.

Shine 020

We hadn't used the guest room in a while, it needed a good freshening.

Shine 021

And of course some holiday foof.

This banner is from the Romantic White Christmas class that Beth and I did a while back.  Its still for sale and has some fun projects, including all the vintage papers scanned for you to download and use.

Shine 085

I've enjoyed unpacking some of the examples I made for the class and using them around the house.

Shine 027

And I enjoyed decorating the guest room a bit for the season too.

Shine 018

Especially since I had helpers with the task.

Dirtydog 004
This guy helped me clean the closet out in the studio.  Leave it to a little pup to find the dirt, they make great dust mops. But it looks like I've gone way beyond dust! The closet in the studio is open to the garage.  Ugh, might be worth building a barrier of some kind this spring.

Shine 029
Friday at Carol's was the best. I've never been to an event quite like it.  You know how I love, love, love arty weekend gatherings and blather on and on about them, right?

Shine 065

Well, I now know that I love creative business workshops too.

Shine 052

Mostly because Debbie is a fascinating story teller, Carol is an empathetic, creative, and knowledgeable store owner, and Amy is a sharp business person with a lot to share.  I learned something from each of them.

Shine 030

All in the gorgeous setting of Carol's late 1800s farmhouse.

Shine 038

Where everything was simply styled beautifully.

Shine 028

The treats were yummy!

Shine 054

And the crowd was as talented as can be.  Before we began, everyone spoke a little bit about themselves and I was intimidated by the level of success many of them were at.

Shine 053

I always say that I attend workshops for the friendships and the creative atmosphere, not always the projects. I leave them pumped up and with a spring in my step just from mingling with the other attendees.

This day was no exception, and I was so impressed with Carol and the job she did putting it together.

Shine 056

It was an honor to be in such company as a presenter, even though I was a bit out of my league.  I didn't have a power point presentation, I decided not to use the projector since I was doing a little make and take project.

So, I just kinda winged it and talked while we were making things.  My talk was about blogging and tutorials, so we did one of my projects from a tutorial while I spoke.

Basically, what my talk boiled down to, was that you need to decide just what is important to you before you go into a business.   I didn't talk finances, business plans, or profit margins, I talked about looking for happiness.

I you are an artist and want to do art, do you really need a huge business to run, or do you want to make things?  What I had to say might not be what they were there to hear, but it was sincere and I just told them what works for me.

In my world, I've realized that you can't have it all.  You figure out what parts are really important, compromise and make it fit.

Shine 001

I'm glad I had a project for them to make, glitter up,  and take home, hopefully, they didn't feel like I left them hanging.  Because my advice was more about being creative in all aspects of your life and less about building a creative business.

I should have just called it, "Me Like Blogs, Blogs is Purdy"

Hopefully, my ramblings about being happy and what success really means was slightly coherent.

Shine 046

And I hope they liked my cookies.  See, to me, having time to bake homemade butter cookies with edible glitter on the frosting is very important.  I would be miserable if I had to spend all my time in an office managing a business, I like my little corner of the world where I can bake cookies, make pretties, and play with the grand fairies and dorkies.

Being happy goes a lot further than being rich and important.

Oh my, I'll probably never be asked to speak again.

Shine 031

Along the way, I tried to impart some pearls, no nuggets blobs of wisdom about blogging and marketing. I hope it made sense.

Shine 037

Carol, Debbie, and Amy had smart and topical things to say, so I couldn't ruin the day with my blathers, it was a very worthwhile day for everyone because of them.

(the bottle brush tree on a candlestick is a gift I made for Carol)

Shine 050

I learned a lot from the three of them.  And any time you spend in Carol's home, is a time of beauty.

Shine 048

Wow.

  Just Wow.

It was like being in a magazine spread.

Shine 035

Thanks, Carol!

Lunch with carol 006

When I did a little make and take of Christmas stars at my friend, Angie's, store, I had a lovely evening.  Her place was so festive and pretty for the upcoming holidays. I got there just as the sun was deciding to set and there was a soft glow of lights coming from the shop windows. Yep, just lovely.

See the flowers on her doors?  Years ago, when she first rented the place, I surprised her with  little rosebuds on the door panels.  I came by when the place was closed and whipped out a few roses as a welcome to the new place.  There aren't many people you could do that for, just randomly show up unannounced and start painting on their building, but I knew her well enough to know she would like it.

Lunch with carol 004

We used to work together on projects in the past, she'd hire me to paint for her, and I'd invite her to be a  part of the antique shows I used to have at my house.   It had been a while since we'd done a project together, so I was really looking forward to being at her open house.

There wasn't much traffic at all for my little make and take, but I still had a great evening.  Its nice just to have a reason to hang out with good friends and pretend that its "work" so that you have to be there.  And she is a nice person to hang out with.

Lunch with carol 001

The same day, I meet up with some other friends that a good to spend time with, Debbie, Carol, and Amy.  We are all going to speak at Carol's workshop for creative businesses.

They are some seriously fun and friendly people, who are also very successful in what they do.  I was a bit overwhelmed after our discussion about what we were going to say during our talks.  Amy has written many books, owns a couple of businesses, Debbie is a nationally known stylist among other things, and Carol's store and photography business are gorgeously done. All are quite knowledgeable.

There was lots of talk of business practices, employees, and other professionally sounding things  like power point and publishers and such.

What was my contribution?  It kind of sounded like this:

"Me like purdy stuff"

Yep, a bit out of my league with these ladies.

The talk is sold out, and Carol has a long waiting list of people who want to come. I certainly don't want to disappoint anyone. I'm better at making things than talking about my so called business.

So, what do you think? If you were attending, what would you like to hear?

Carol is letting me do a small craft along project, that will later be used as props for her photography styling talk.  I'll be happy to have that to do, but I'm also talking about blogging and tutorials as we work on our sparkly make and take doodad.

If you were coming, what would you like to hear about blogging or business from me?

Besides, "Me like sparkles. Them is purdy"
