10 Cottage Collage Kits (and that is all I managed to do today!)

Album_collage_kits_004 Thanks to everyone for letting me know about the speed (or lack of) for  my blog loading.  And thanks for the patience those who had to put up with extra slow loading and still opened it anyway!

Today I have put together more Cottage Collage Kits. Album_collage_kits_008

I made up 3 of these from a pattern my sister came up with.  I used vintage wallpaper and heavy drawing paper to make the folders and duded them up with lots of foofy, vintagey things, then filled them with even more.Album_collage_kits_011

I listed them this morning on Etsy, and there are still two left there if anyone is interested.

I delved into my stack of millinery flowers and tied one to a 8" x 4" tag in each kit, with a bit of old trim.

Album_collage_kits_027 I also made up bunch of these large collage kits.Album_collage_kits_020

I love going through my stash of goods and putting together packs of pretty papers that go together. It is almost as much fun as making something from it all. Album_collage_kits_019

While I am playing with the papers and matching things up, I do make a couple things to add, like the cards stamped with the Eiffel Tower.

And I plan pieces I want to make, setting aside items to use.  I LOVE these 3 ladies! I copied it off so I’d have one for each pack, plus can make a witchy picture for myself with it.Album_collage_kits_022

I try to use a mix of old pages from books, clip art, copies of old things, as well as genuine OLD ephemera.

These kits definitely are rosey, but I leaned toward some darker colors for fall too.

They will all be listed tomorrow on Etsy.  Unless I am so wrapped up with Sugarwings, nothing gets done.Album_collage_kits_003

I had her all day yesterday, and she was quite helpful at the grocery.  I’m sure she’ll be as much help in the studio tomorrow!

Remember- less than a week left to enter the August giveaway by leaving a comment!

  2. haha, look at the stuff on the floor in the market. That is too funny. Seems floors turn into magnets when kids are around. I love your kits. I’m going to have to scroung up some money to buy one. I esspecially love how you put the recent ones together with the ribbon ties . Great idea. I’m going to your etsy right now to check out what you listed!

  3. Oh that little girl is even cute being bad!
I saw today where Stampington wants digital scrapbook pages of things like this where everything isn’t all posed and perfect.
    Love your kits!

  4. Your kits looked so intriguing! I haven’t got into scrapbooking or altered art….YET, but it’s bound to be just a matter of time. I’ve been interested for a while, and your kits brought home to me the fact that I’ve saved bits and pieces and scraps for longer than those arts had a name, just waiting for inspiration. Now I’ve got to get this house “finished” and the shop ready…… Then maybe I can think about doing some things just for fun!
    Love your blog!

  5. Hey, either we have one smart grandma or kid.
She didn’t throw anything breakable. We know you love every minute of your time with Sugarwings!

  6. I like the victorian woman at the bottom of this post in black and white, she’s my favorite. I haven’t had time to visit as have had company and will be traveling next week. Thanks so much for stopping by. I cannot share my daughter as she is already taken. 🙂
