Hi everyone! Just a quick note from Palm Springs (where it is sunny and beautiful and a world apart from normal life) to announce my winner for comment # 5-5-58. ( I chose that number as part of my year long 50th birthday celebration- I was born May 5, 1958)
I can’t show photos of my trip yet, I am afraid I don’t know how to download any to my husband’s lap. But when I get home to a machine I am familiar with, I have lots of pictures from the Land of Luxury to share with you!
For now I just wanted to let you know who my prize winner is:

Who happens to be friend, one of my very first blogging friends, so I was really pleased. Acutally, when I started this site, Heather was the first person to leave me a comment that wasn’t from a family member or my buddy, Beth who helped me set up a blog!!
Above the 5558th comment was my friend, Joy and after was my buddy Bethany. My sister, Bobbie Sue was right to them too. How funny if she had won, considering she has only left two comments total.
I’ll show photos of the gift when I get back. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to leave a comment, I appreciate hearing from you all. As an artist, who is self employed and works from home, I love having people to talk to. There are days when I go without seeing anyone human (just Dorkies), when my husband is on the road. So, I will continue my bribes for comments, I love to hear from you all. Thanks for keeping me company!
Plus, giving presents is such fun. I will come up with something Special for Heather. I also have my monthly drawing coming up in a few days, as well as a special prize on Valentines Day for my one year blog anniversary.

Wow, just goes to show how many people out there love reading your blog and look forward to seeing your new posts! Can’t wait to see the pictures of your trip. I am glad you got the opportunity to get away and enjoy some nice weather after what we have had the past several months! Enjoy the rest of your trip and time with Rich. It’s going to hit 50 today in northeast Kansas, yesterday we had sun and 48!! It’s a heat wave! I am looking forward to the snow and ice melting away! Hope it’s still warm here when you get back!

The bribes are fun, but the truth is I guarantee you that we all read your blog because it’s so enjoyable. So glad you are having fun in Palm Springs. I live in Miami, so today we are freezing our noogies off. Just not used to this weather…LOL! I understand your sentiments in regards to receiving post…I too am a full time mom with a home based business..I swear I just get giddy when I see that mail box full of post…LOL. 1958 was a very good year. My wedding anniversary is 7/11/58. Happy 50th to you this year.
