A Christmas Angel mini dress form

IMG_3008
One of my favorite things about the mini dress forms that I've been making all year, is the different ways to dress them up.

This one is an angel, to set out for Christmas.

She wasn't always an angel. She started out as just one of the gals that I'd made as an example for the online class.

But I saw these premade, white feather, wings at Hobby Lobby (half price this week, too) and picked up a pair.

I added some glitter to the body, and tinsel to the skirt, then slapped the wings on, and ta-dah!  A holiday angel.

And if you'd like to win a dress form tutorial, please mention in your comment that you are interested. Or if you'd rather have a cuff one, please let me know. In the spirit of the holiday, I'll be giving away three more classes this week!

  1. Your angel is adorable! I would love to win a dress form tutorial. I think it would be a blast to have a sister craft day over the holidays where we we sit and make these dress forms. Thanks for the chance to win one!!

  2. I have craft camp scheduled with 3 girlfriends in January. We each bring a craft. I would love to bring the mini dress form to camp.

  3. I won the cuff tutorial, am I being greedy by also now wanting to try and win the angel tutorial??? If so, then delete my name, but I love your stuff and have already starting getting what I need to do the cuff. Thanks again!!

  4. luv angels! would luv the tutorial, but I’ve already won the cuff tutorial and am very blessed and happy with that. Make someone else as happy as I am.
Hoping you do something we can all participate in after the holidays are over—hint, hint, hint. (perhaps angel or fairy themed) oops! did I say that out loud?!?!

  5. Karla – this is so darling! I love dress forms of all sizes and wouldn’t mind being a winner of this tutorial… 😉

  6. Love your angel! I have been resisting purchasing your dress form tutorial but this has tipped the scales and I have pushed the ‘buy now’ button. Needless to say I would be delighted to win the cuff tutorial.

  7. Would love to win either but if I have to pick just one I think it’d be the dress form tutorial. Have many seamstresses in my lovely family and they would get a kick out of an angel dress form for Christmas!

Karla, I am new to your site and just LOVE IT. Beautiful and vintage and sooooooo sweet! I’d love to win your dress form!! Love the Angel you made. All of your things are so sweet and I love the idea of a tea party under the tree with my granddaughter. I’ll definitely be doing that this weekend! Thank you for all the beauty and inspiration!
