I'm just about so excited that I could POP-

Lookee here at this!!!!!!! Yippee! If you've read my blog, you know how I love arty getaways.  And Kim's are to die for. What an honor for her to ask me to TEACH at one!!

And to create the artwork for the button too??  How did I get to be so lucky?

And did I mention that it is a fairy tale/Snow White theme? AT DISNEYLAND???

Pinch me.

I've already started buying supplies for the 70 kits for the class and a couple dozen examples and practice kits.

Actually, I think I am already done with the shopping part and after my little Ghostly Gathering here  at the studio in October, I can start assembling the kits.  It pays to be ahead!  The classes in CA will be very close to Birdsong 3, so I'll have to be super organized to pull it off.

(There is still space for Romantic Gothic Ghosts if you'd like to join us for a day of elegant, spooky fun)

I wanted some colored rhinestone chains for the class I'll be teaching, so while I was buying, I bought plenty of extra for the Boutique too.

I have peridot, ruby, silvery gray, topaz, and baby blue.

  1. I’ve always wanted to attend one of Kim’s events so I’m glad she gave so much notice so I can plan. And Karla, BIRDSONG 3!!! Who hoo! I’m so there! What will the dates be so I can get that on my calendar too?

  2. Kims event is mid April and I try to have birdsong around may day. I dont have the exact date yet, I have to check KUs calendar to make sure the college doesnt have something big going on to fill all the hotels. I think I will do Friday and Saturday again. People seem to like having Sunday free for travel.

  3. Karla, I am sooo excited for you! And I am 99% sure I will be at Kim’s event in April so I get to see you then! Those rhinestones make my heart get all sparkly…. everything looks better with a bit of bling!

  4. Congratulations! On your class and the painting-beautiful! Keep me in mind should you have any extra kits and have a great time.

  5. A big congratulations for being asked to teach a class at AND for doing the button artwork for “An Enchanted Affaire”! I always love seeing the photos from Kim Caldwell’s events, so I know I will love next April’s photos as well.
I am tickled for you that you are so excited about this–so excited that you could pop, as you said! It is so fun to have something to really look forward to.
Anything that involves you and rhinestone chains has got to be gorgeous. I’m looking forward to seeing what you create for the class you teach.

  6. Karla, your Snow White is gorgeous. She looks like she has a bit of a diva attitude, yes? Maybe it’s the yards and yards of rhinestones she plays with…sigh. Charlotte
