Blue Bird Realty

Birdhouse_015 Beth and I have a plan.  We wanted to do a swap, but something a little different.  And something spring-ey.  It is so durn cold here in Kansas, I need a breath of spring!

Plus, I fell in love with her post about the beautiful birdhouses she was making.Birdhouse_011

Using her ideas, I made one for myself too. But I wanted to trade her for one of the sweet birdie abodes she had made.

We decided others might want to trade too.Birdhouse_007

So we came up with a "What do you LOVE about your Birdie’s Home?"

Other wise known as "Bling your Birdhouse Day"

It will be a challenge for everyone to show their creations (date coming) and to swap or sell their birdhouses from their posts.

Details as soon as we work it all out. Anybody want to come and play with us??Birdhouse_004

I’ll be offering a tutorial on blinging the houses out (date coming).  Also some bling kits of doodads and vintage papers you can use on your own creations.Wallpaper_books_153

Besides making this one little birdhouse (and the realty sign in front of it), I’ve had a lazy day. Wrapped some packages to mail from my Etsy shop, played with the baby, and made a pot  of ham and bean and veggie soup for tonight.  We have a forecast of freezing rain and I needed fortify myself with a hot pot of soup.  And corn bread, of course. How can you have bean soup with out cornbread?Wallpaper_books_162

I listed one thing on Etsy, a paper doll dress ball gown.  Like I said,  a lazy day.  Listening to John and Kate plus 8 (how do those people survive???), finishing my book (The Other Boleyn Girl – I love the Tudors!!) and not much else.   Aren’t Sundays wonderful???

  1. Love the Birdhouse Bling idea 🙂 Birdhouses are so much fun to paint and decorate, aren’t they?
Cornbread….mmm…..I made soup for supper, maybe I’ll make cornbread too!

  2. How pretty! There actually is a Blue Bird Realty near here. Is it a national thing?
I thought of you the other day when I bought some wrapping paper with fairies all over it at The Dollar Tree.

  3. I love those lazy Sundays too! But lazy? I think you have come up with some great ideas!! Sometimes I go back to bed with a book on Sunday and I think, hahaha!
Yesterday I was visiting and commenting your ‘one world one heart’ post and I forgot to thank you. It was through you that I have heard from this event. So I really have to thank you for that, I’ve met some very nice people and it its sooo much fun. I have lost track of who has given a comment on my post I think my giveaway might be just something for you too, its a portfolio filled with cards and wallpaper. If you haven’t been there maybe I’ll see you there some of these days.
Thanks for inspiration and have a good week (Monday has started already over here).

  4. Count me in-this sounds fun. I’ll be watching for the details.
(I have something for Miss Sugarwings, please ask her this question and then let me know, “Green or Yellow”? That’s all I need to know on this end:)

  5. I had a lazy day, too, sitting through most of the Jon and Kate Plus 8 marathon. Kate makes me look like a slug even on my most productive days!

  6. I would love to play, But I am better at fixing things, then coming up with things. I will watch from afar. And enjoy what you all come up with.
