Cuff bracelets with velvets and lace

Have you ever made cuff bracelets?  They are my new favorite pastime right now! I whipped up a dozen of them the other day and immediately ordered another dozen blanks to make more.

The basis is an aluminum cuff (found on Ebay) that I covered in velvet, inside and out. After that part was done, I got down to the fun stuff, and embellished each a little different.

I've got some special plans coming up this week, and these bracelets are just what I needed for the event.

Hopefully, my guests will agree with me, and like them too.

  1. They are lovely! I have some of the blank cuffs and have been gathering some supplies to make some of these. Yours are lovely Karla! I see lots of these on Etsy too and they are gorgeous as well. Right now I am working on embellished crochet cuffs. Not enough hours in the day!!

Could it be that you would fill your shop with some, one day? I would love to buy one with a big rhinestone brooch placed on top, they are gorgeus, dear.

  6. Thanks for the inspiration, Karla! I’m curious how you covered the blanks in velvet, though…did you glue the velvet directly to the cuff? I’m headed over to eBay to see if I can find some cuff blanks. It doesn’t take much for me to go head over heels for a new project!
