Meet Mr. Wonderful

Treat cab redo 039-1

We have a new little friend here at the cottage.

Twinks is fascinated by him.

Mr. Wonderful isn't quite as infatuated with her.

He has decided that as long as Twinkle is near by, the best place to be is out of reach.

But they are working on the relationship.

Today was a great day for getting acquainted, its sunny, bright, and beautiful.

While the two new "frenemies" explored each other's boundaries, I harvested tomatoes for the last time, again.  This is the 4th time I cleared out late tomatoes, thinking it was the end of the line for the plants.  Vine fresh tomatoes aren't a typical side dish for Thanksgiving in Kansas. But it sure will be this year!

I might even be picking flowers from the garden for the table!

(I am out of town a few days, this was pre-posted on Friday)

  1. What an adorable new kitty cat Karla!! I love his markings. I bet he and Twinkle will be friends before long 🙂
Your garden still looks so beautiful!! It has been such a mild fall so far here too.
    Hugs,
    Amy

  2. Oh….what a cute kitty. We have a fairly new kitty here and she was the same with our dogs at first. Now they’re no big deal, she can handle them! *Ü*
Your gardens, even in the fall, look interesting with all the gates and “rooms”….love it!

  3. Wow you’re still getting tomatoes? We’ve just planted some, and got a few more small tomato plants the other day – coloured cherry tomatoes, and some Black Russians (have you ever grown those? They are SO tasty, better than any other tomato I’ve ever tasted!)
LOL, I love the pics of the frenemies! You can really see how the relationship works there, just from the pics! Karla, you look like you are really enjoying your camera…. I’m trying to save up for one….

  4. Hi Karla,
Mr. Wonderful is so sweet!!! I really like the
arched back photo : )!! Is Twinks happy with her
    new pal?
    Hugs,

  5. Welcome Mr. Wonderful!
Twinkle’s enthusiasm about a new friend and possible playmate reminds me of how little babies love to chase small puppies while the puppies want none of it. Here’s hoping the two before friends, or at least companionable acquaintances.
Good luck on getting the rest of Thanksgiving plans, plants, and decorations in order for Thursday!

  6. I had to come over when I saw the pic & title over on flickr. Hillarious & cute all in one 🙂
PS Seeing your tomato plants makes me miss my in-laws garden in MD. I enjoyed the VA pics too. I could go for a trip home!
