These are some roses I painted recently. She'd have loved them. She liked anything I did, no matter what. You just don't have a fan base like that once your mom is gone, do you?

What a beautiful lady, and she sounds like she was a very special mom, Karla. How long ago did she pass away? Sending you hugs on this day of remembering her birthday. I love those roses. Was she artistic like you? 🙂
Nice tribute to your mom. We miss our moms forever, don’t we. My mother was always full of praise for what I was involved in – she will be gone 17 years in March, and I do miss her every day.
I missed this post earlier. Boy, she was lovely, Karla. And you are so right — the missing never goes away. She is, was and always will be your (and for me, my mom will be my) biggest fan. Sigh. Beautiful.

That never goes away, does it, Pallas?

I used to cringe at some of my old, discarded attempts at art that my mom hung on her walls! She loved them, no matter how bad they were.
