Img_7780 Country Living has a sneak peek at their Silver Bella article coming up in the next issue.  You can see a slide show of 15 pictures here.

And here is a sneak peek of my Silver Bella booth.

I cleared a dining table in my studio to use for a practice set up of my jewelry displays.Img_7770

Setting all of this up, reminds me of when I was a little girl and loved to play "store".  I’d line up my toys and pretend they were for sale, and my pony tailed Barbie was my coworker as we wrote up receipts for all the purchases.

This isn’t quite the final product, I’ll be tweaking it tonight, then will pack it all up and have the jewelry portion of my merchandise set to go!Img_7771

The table I am practicing on is a foot short than the tables we will be renting at the Market Faire, but it is close enough to give me an idea of what to bring.Img_7773

My displays are going to be ready to go, just pull out of the packing box and set up. Img_7775

I’ve enlisted the help of all the lovely ladies out in the studio to be my models.

Actually, this hand painted charm, isn’t jewelry, it is more of a tag. Img_7776

And the necklace on this lady is vintage but not hand made. I will have both, and really should have them separated better when I do the final set up.Img_7777

This lady might be better holding bracelets than necklaces. She is pretty dainty and has a tiny neck.Img_7779

Do you remember this elegant belle? I bought her from Beth, and she will fit right in at Silver Bella, she will sell pearls for me.Img_7774_2

I know red isn’t my color, but this is still a nice way to sell pendants. I hope the dark red isn’t too jarring for the rest of the space…  I’ll have lots of pastels, white, and silver.

And I know it wouldn’t be that hard to recover this display, but it just isn’t high on my list of priories. Do you think it will matter?

  1. You are just killing me here! Please tell me you will put any leftovers in your shop?! It all looks beautiful and I think the pendants really pop on the red.

  2. I can’t beleive how much you have gotten done for Silver bella. You will be in great shape by the time it gets here. The slide show looked like so much fun. No wonder everyone keeps talking about it. Have a great evening.

  3. I can’t wait to get my copy of Country Living. I think us Easterners are always the last to get it. All your jewelry looks gorgeous and I love how you’ve displayed it.

  4. oh karla

    Hi-
I love the look of your 2nd photograph best. Everything just goes together so well.
As for the red, I think if you have the time in the long run you’d be happier if you changed out the red to something more subtle and Silver Bellaish, such as the gray you’ve chosen for your other displays, or pale pink. Even if you draped ecru colored lace over the red, it seems like it would fit in more with your style of the rest of your displays.
Please don’t be offended, its only one (my) opinion.

  6. Good Morning Sweet Karla! I wondered if you did a test run of the set up (I wonder about all kinds of stuff). Do you take a photo then (DUH!!! I mean, will you take the photo with you) or do you just remember and adjust to the space as you go? What fun! But a lot of work, really! I hope you make a million gazillion dollars, or at least Enough, and of course you are going to have so much fun! The red display would grab the eye of a red-lover like me, but you will know best. Thank you for showing us! Your Friend, Bobbi

  7. It looks gorgeous! I used to love to play store, so your intro really got me! LOL! Too much fun!

  8. Karla, I think your booth will be yummy, you are a very talented artist, and you girls are so lucky to attend Silver Bella. A bit green over here with envy. Knock their socks off!!

  9. Hi Karla, …it’s the other end of pink and it’s velvet, so it shouldn’t matter too much. You might try putting it with the pearl lady and or near the silver box so that the wood hues and cream lining will all soften each other. Another thought… you might try the dainty blue girl that is going to wear braclets inside the silver box where the neck display is standing now? You might try draping some lace doilies on or around the silver neck display? Happy happies.
