Thanks so much!

Thank you all for your nice messages and prayers.   We gave my father-in-law a great send off and had a fabulous family gathering to say farewell.  I have to say, that man sure had some wonderful kids. I'm lucky to be a part of such a family.

They came together with lots of love, caring and laughter, and made this week one to always remember. Sometimes the saddest occasions can also be the happiest. When you belong to a group of people like these!

  1. Thank you for the update. It has been a bit worrisome to hear so much pre-event preparations and then silence since the day-of. I’m glad it was overall an uplifting experience.

  2. Was so sorry to read about your father-in-law, but happy to know that you had a good family gathering for the memorial. With love and sympathy,

  5. Karla and Rich: So glad you guys had so many family members around you, to make saying good bye a little easier. We were thinking about you all weekend. Love, Debbie/Harry.

  6. It’s always seemed strange yet wonderful that such a sad moment as a funeral can turn into laughter, joy and delight. Ahhh…but that’s life isn’t it?! And look at you with springtime on your table, Miss Karla! I’m so sorry for your family’s loss but I’m happy that you have such a tremendous family! – Kathy
