Its been a lazy day here at the cottage. Reading, boating, gardening took up most of the day.
I spent the evening putting some of my Bling and Button Bargain Blowout finds to work.
I also used some of the fantastic French papers that Gwen brought to me during our bloggers craft day party this week.
The labels on these bottles are made from the French ephemera that I "cuddlebugged" (by the way, I found out, it is really called a CUTTLEBUG)What ever it is called, that thing is COOL. I loved using it!
Then, I filled the bottles with painstakingly sorted buttons, and dooded up the labels with old photos and tons of pretty sparkling jewels. Doesn’t this brooch make a nice little frame?
The Christmas in July giveaway is all wrapped up and ready to go out to who ever wins it.
(check out the previous post to see what is inside)
Then, I listed a couple of my beveled glass covered collages on Etsy.
Like I said, kind of a quiet day around here. I’ve been daydreaming about Silver Bella. Yes, I know that is MONTHS in advance, but I am really looking forward to it and hoping to plan and hostess a swap or two for it.
I am already hosting a small swap for the event, so that a group of us who are going can get a bit acquainted before we meet up there.
I am so happy with my list of swappers who will be sending me some of their favorite crafting supplies. I will then package them all up and send a little of each to everyone who signed up.
We’ll each get a goodie bag with pretties from everyone else.
Take a look at this list and you’ll see why I am excited about it! These are people who have BEAUTIFUL things!! I can’t wait to see all the presents coming in the mail for me to play with, I mean, divvy up and send out.

Beautiful stuff! I always say that after the 4th of July, Christmas is right around the corner. Next thing we know we’ll be putting up the tree. It always works that way.
About the cold feet in July, I think that global warming thing is a terrible hoax. The earth has been warming and cooling since the beginning of time. I remember a few years ago people were all concerned about global cooling.
Just got ‘caught up’ with you..so THAT’S your secret–other stuff dosen’t get done!
(I like that!)
What a fun person you are–and a blessing to those ladies who came to your party!!
Please enter me in the giveaway, too!!
Thanks!
Hi Karla! I love the bottle you made, just beautiful and so vintagey 🙂 LOVE the collage too!
I put my drawing goodies from you on my blog today 🙂 Thank you so much again 🙂
Hugs,
Amy
Wow! That is quite an impressive group.
I hear that Mary Engelbreit will be there.

No Fair!!! I wish I was on that list 🙁 Oh well…maybe next year! Your project look beautiful Karla!!! I just love the bottle ….Karin
I love your brooch frame! I am going to have to look for some like that while out and about. I have a family reunion coming up and that would be perfect little gifts for some of the younger at heart family members. I am thinking of putting a picture from their younger days in the frame and presenting it as either an ornament or a pin that can be worn. Your blog is just full in inspiration!
I love lazy days, looks like you put yours to good use!
Beautiful items made once again by a beautiful lady.
I so wish I could go to Silver Bella. But, I’ll have to settle for seeing it all unfold on your blog.
Hugs,
Joanne
I love the word CUDDLEBUG! It sounds like something you’d call someone you love! Great pix too!

Karla, you are my inspiration. I finally have equipped myself with wallpaper, old photos, music paper, etc. New supplies from doing watercolors for me. I tried making tags like you do last night, and (embarassed to say) Could you instruct on how to pleat that paper on the bottom of your tags, pleat crepe paper for medallions, basic 101 how to get it to lay flat for a newbie? Thanks a million. Blessings, Kathy
