Would you like to have a pair of silver crown earrings?

Img_7791 My grandiose plans to tag and pack up all the jewelry didn’t come to fruition.  I’ve had Sugarwings as a helper, so just didn’t get a lot done!

There are a lot of things she is good at helping with, but sorting and pricing jewelry isn’t one of them.

Sugarwings is a good shopper.  We went out and ran some errands and picked up Halloween themed paper goods for a bonfire I am planning tomorrow night.

Img_7783

She is also a good sprinkler.  I handed over the sprinkles container and let her decorate the cupcakes herself.  Img_7797

I was hoping to do some autumn decorating before tomorrow night, but simply haven’t had a chance.  She and I picked some hedge apples and squash. That might be it for my fall decor this year! Maybe I will call it "minimalist".

Being busy with getting things ready for Silverbella and having a two year old move in with me have kind of slowed me down a bit.Img_7794_2

If you aren’t getting answers from me for you rcomments, please know that I am reading them at nap time, or after her bedtime, and enjoy seeing each and every one of them, I just might not have time to reply.

It’s nap time now, so Twinkle and I have been cleaning up this smoking stand to use for a display at my booth.  I need to find a knob to fit the door, and it will be ready to go.  It is perfectly aged and crackled up! And just the right size to add height to a table of goods for sale.

I like small cabinets for display. I can set something on top of it, inside it, and underneath too.Img_7687_2

I’ve been so busy baby chasing that I forgot I had told you I was going to add to the October Giveaway.

If you remember, there is a set of black and white rose linens and a white glittered pumpkin already in the prize pack.Img_7756

I think that what is missing from the prize is a pair of earrings.  And since so many of you are interested in Silver Bella, but might not be going, I thought I’d offer a pair of the patina-ed sterling silver crown earrings that I am making up to take to that event.

All comments all month count as an entry.  And please do continue to comment, sorry I can’t answer them all.

  18. you’ll have to tell me your secrets. My 2.5 y.o. keeps me busy. The bad part is I tire out in the afternoon when he naps, rather than getting a lot done. LOL. I love all the goodies- I so hope to win. Those linens are to DIE for! hugs-Lee

  19. Heyya, asI was scrolling down to leave this comment I had to pause at the smoking table again! Thanks for visiting my Flickr…I had forgotten that I had used a color copy of the green side of the empty cabinet card and the butterfly is from The Vintage Workshop…I haven’t figured out if there’s a way to URL my Flickr in general, anyways the one i was talking about was the cabinet card faerie and some bits of wallpaper(1744, hit the arrow under the red heart), if you want to travel that way again. Happy happies.

  20. I love the crown earrings!!! They’d be well loved if I get chosen, but if not I’m sure the winner will love them too.
I just bought a smokers stand this week for $3.95 less 25% (coupon for recycling in Oct.) and have it as a project to create for the Junkmarketstyle site. I have a rounded cut out part that must of had another piece on top, but plan to use a silver tray in that area. I’ll have to send a photo to you when its done. Can’t wait to see what you do with yours for the Silver Bella event, but whatever you do it will be fabulous.
Love the hedge apples. Haven’t heard of them until this year, now this is the 2nd time I’ve been told about them, but your photo was my first visual. I will have to find some.
Our house is the exact color as yours with a magenta door. I don’t use the traditional orange colors because of the door, so the hedge apples would be great.
Tell Sugar Wings she did a great job with the cupcake decorations. They are great!
    Pick me!!! : )
    Gretchen

  22. My sister and I were at your house yesterday, everything was wonderful and we both found some treasures. I would really like the recipe for your pumpkin fudge. Cooking is not something I take on very often but it was so good and also different. Thanks again for letting us see your house.

  23. The earrings are so pretty. I was just over at Beth’s and read about your party and it sounds like you had a wonderful event. I told her I am wanting a new sofa and might just toss my on the bonfire and chant new fur-nit-ure! Think it will work?

  24. I so look forward to visiting your blog and seeing all the pretties. Sigh…life is good Ms. Karla, and you just make it sweeter with all your goodies! I understand about having our sweet peas slow us down, but they do grow up so quickly, do they not? (Amazing sprinkler you have there!!!! LOL)
    Sending you tons of hugs,
    Damaris

  25. I’m so excited for Silver Bella and I’m not even attending. I can’t wait to see the fun that you all have!
These crown earrings are wonderful! I enjoy your blog…love all the photographs.
    Elizabeth

  26. I love the first picture of the pink dolly! Sugarwings is such a little lady so talented…wonder who she is learning from! LOL! Hmm Grandma? Have a great bonfire! Grace

  27. I am absolutely lovin the crown ear rings. My granddaughter is almost 4yrs old and she keeps me busy when I have her. They do grow fast…savor it now because the next thing you know they are too old to hang out with grandma and rather be with friends. I cherish every moment with Samarah. I look forward to reading your blog and be allowed to glimpse into your life. Thank you.

  28. I like crown earrings!
I must say, I am so impressed by the way you roll with the punches in regards to having a baby fairy underfoot. I hope I can be as gracious a grandma as you are. You are a good example for us gals that like to “get things done”! You do it AND you love on that little one at the same time. Well done, Karla!

  29. Halloween looks like such a fun holiday! Here in Australia (or at least in my part of the country) we do not have it. It’s Spring anyway. But Autumn is my favourite time of year; where I live we get the most amazing orange and pink sunsets that seem to stretch the entire western horizon. I guess it makes up for the fact we dont get the browning of the leaves, and all those other wonderful orange, brown and yellow events that seem to occur in the northern hemisphere. And I’ve never seen pumpkins so big!
Anyhow, I hope your All Hallow’s Eve is a good one!
    Regards,
    Sarah.

  30. i love the dishtowels with the pumpkins. do you make them yourself. the picture is very nice and they go so well together. love it!!geri
